Here I have a 9 piece, very antique bedroom set. I live in a house that was built in 1883, and I was told that this set belonged to the original couple, Col. Brown & his wife Katie, in Concordia, KS. There is a single bed with a horsehair mattress, 3 chairs, although 1 is blue, a long, low dresser with flower baskets on the wicker, a make-up dresser with a mirror (which needs its wicker footrest replaced) and a bench for the same table, (which also needs the wicker replaced) an oval side table, and a wall mirror. These have a matching pattern of flowers and bows.
There is missing paint on just about every piece. I can only guess that the blue chair was added to the set at a later date, but I cannot say for sure.
It could be that the 1 piece was painted by itself. (I know that the husband of the lady we bought this house from, was a painter). This was a very nice set when it was made. (The gentleman who built this house was very wealthy in 1883, so, I think he could afford the best for his wife). If you want any more photos than would fit in this listing, please ask, and I will take many more & send them to you.
It has already been paid out to the postal service. I try to describe items as best I can.
Please look at all of the photos - it is part of the description. The colors in the photos may not be an exact match to the actual item, this is why I try to describe my items as if there were no photos. It's usually just the lighting. Some days when I'm making a listing, it's just brighter around me. From my smoke free home.
