Vintage 1950s men's matching blue wool waistcoat and pants set

True Vintage 1954 2-piece men's ensemble in beautiful condition. Each piece was custom made for a man named J. Hunter by a tailor named Joe Palladine from Connellsville, PA. Every item contains a handwritten label with the date the item was made down to the month, day, and year. The fabrics used, inside and out, are of the highest quality and they have absolutely stood up to the test of time.

Each piece looks and feels unworn. They are in fabulous condition and made with great attention to detail. If you are a collector of vintage men's clothing, anything from this collection would surely become one of your favorite finds. I've been dealing in vintage clothing for almost 30 years, and the pieces from this collection are the nicest I've ever seen.

It's time to let them go and be worn & enjoyed! This is a two piece ensemble - includes only the matching vest and pants.

The fabric is a gorgeous dark blue wool with a block pattern in bright blue with white flecks. The pants include the tailor's hand written label dated Nov 1, 1954. Seven button, four broad welt pockets, and one inside pocket. Wool fabric front and back. One button waistband, eight belt loops, five-button button-fly closure, single pleat, long rise, and bottom cuffs. Waist: 34" (waistband:1 ¾"). Leg Opening: 11 " (cuff: 2"). Rise: 17 (actually measured from the front). All items are measured with the item laying flat. I aim to be very clear relating measurements, but please keep in mind the possibility of atypical sizing due to the item being vintage.

I recommend comparing my measurements to a similar piece of clothing that you already own and which you like the fit. Overall, in great vintage condition! I carefully looked over the outside of each piece and found no issues to mention.
